Billy Briscoe has over 25 years of experience providing management and strategic advisory services to Fortune 1000 companies on business, legal, legislative, and regulatory matters. Through his various roles, he has successfully managed large-scale, multi-state implementation efforts. Prior to joining Clean Energy Fund of Texas, Billy was the managing partner of The Briscoe Group, PLLC, a business transaction and litigation firm with offices in Houston and Dallas. He is also the managing partner of a private investment entity, specifically targeting distressed and alternative business platforms in need of short-term capital infusion.
Billy was an early angel investor in Decawave and served on its board of directors until Qorvo’s recent acquisition of the company. Previously and as a co-founder of The Tagos Group, PLLC, he served as General Counsel and President of the company’s Industrial Services Group. Prior to Tagos, Billy was a Senior Manager at Diamond Consulting (formally a publicly traded management and technology consulting concern), where he covered the pharmaceutical, transportation, and insurance industries. Mr. Briscoe is a licensed attorney in the state of Texas. He has previously served on the board of directors for Decawave, Inc. and as chairman of the board for the Gulf Coast Services Association. He has served on public sector boards for Have Haven, Inc., Making it Better. Inc., Mid-town Redevelopment Authority (Houston, Texas), and the McDonald Observatory. Billy holds an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business, a J.D. from the University of Houston’s Bates College of Law (where he studied abroad at St. Ann College at Oxford), and a B.A. from Hampton University. Mr. Briscoe lives in Houston.
