Last year, when we gathered in Bentonville, Arkansas, we learned about all the funding, financing, and other opportunities that were on their way from the Inflation Reduction Act. This year, the results of the biggest investment in rural power in 100 years are hitting the ground, and we’re bringing those solutions to you from November 11-13 at the Tubman Museum in Macon, Georgia.

You can see the full Program-at-a-Glance just below this letter, but I wanted to highlight a few of the topics we’ll be digging into together:

  • What is a green bank, and how can it fund my project?

  • How does Solar for All work, and what can it bring to my community?

  • Workforce development: To quote Dr. Mildred McClain, “jobs are justice”

  • Liberation through Regenerative Agriculture

To double-click on Solar for All, more than $1.9 billion (yes, billion) is being invested in new solar projects that will deeply cut electricity bills for tens of thousands of families living on low incomes across the Southeast through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. Groundswell’s SE Rural Power Coalition is among them, and we can’t wait to share how we’ll be putting this great new program to good purpose in service to our neighbors in Alabama, Arkansas, North Central Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Central and Southern Virginia.

I hope you’ll come out and join us in Macon for what I know will be a joyful few days together in fellowship in the Good Work.
