Dear Rural,

As we enter a week of gratitude and thanksgiving, we want to sincerely thank you for joining us at the 2024 Rural Renaissance Roadshow in Macon, Georgia. Over three inspiring days, we came together to uplift rural leaders, build meaningful connections, and chart a path toward local, sustainable, clean energy futures.

The Roadshow showcased the power of collaboration and innovation. Together, we explored solutions to strengthen our communities through inspiring keynote presentations on Solar for All in the Rural South, Leading Community Resilience from City Hall, and Investing in Rural Partners. Conversations about the points made during these sessions echoed through hallway conversations and in breakout sessions where speakers expounded on regenerative agriculture, utilizing green banks/financing, renewable and resilient rural power, and how jobs can drive justice.

These small group discussions and workshops inspired attendees to take actionable steps toward cleaner and more resilient rural futures.

As we fellowshipped with one another over the three days, we brought Groundswell’s core values to life — embodying equity, respect, integrity, excellence, and a deep commitment to taking care of each other. We examined ways to reduce energy costs for underserved communities, expand access to renewable energy, and create opportunities that support families and strengthen local economies, exemplifying the transformative potential of partnership.
